Naira Marley, who took to social media to share his thoughts, was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection to cybercrime commonly known as “yahoo yahoo” wrote,

“I have to help a lot of people in prison. I met one guy, he has been in prison for nine years but never been to court, as in they haven’t even found him guilty yet. What if he is not even guilty?

“I met another person in jail. He’s been in prison for over two years because he is dating one very rich woman’s daughter and the woman actually locked him up for not leaving her daughter.

He was later granted bail by the court in the sum of two million naira alongside two sureties of which one must be a landed property owner while the other a civil servant with a minimum grade of level 10.

Meanwhile, Naira Marley was later released after spending 35 days at the Ikoyi prison.
